SUMMARY:Discover Living Stories Sermons: An Introductory Webinar
DESCRIPTION:What if Sunday sermons weren’t just heard but seen\, felt\, and co-created by everyone in the room? Living Stories is an innovative approach to preaching that invites the whole congregation—kids and adults alike—into a shared exploration of scripture. \nRooted in the lectionary and inspired by Godly Play\, Living Stories blends storytelling\, tactile elements\, and open-ended wondering questions to make the Gospel come alive. Instead of a single preacher delivering a message\, the congregation becomes active participants\, discovering meaning together.A parable might unfold with wooden figures on a felt underlay\, sparking reflections like\, “I wonder what this story says about our lives today?” \nThis emerging model fosters intergenerational connection\, deepens spiritual engagement\, and cultivates a sense of belonging through sacred storytelling.Curious to learn more? Join a free Zoom webinar and discover how you could use Living Stories at your church to transform your worship. \nFebruary 10 (Monday) at 4pm Eastern\nMarch 6 (Thursday) at 12pm Eastern \nSign up today!

SUMMARY:Formation Conversation

You can come to one\, two or all conversations; they are held via Zoom on the third Thursday of each month from 10-11 am. Questions? Please be in touch with Emily Keniston.

While hosted by the Episcopal churches of New England everyone is welcome to join these sessions! \nOn the third Thursday of most months’ participants will have the opportunity to hear from people at the forefront of Christian Formation. Come\, listen\, and share your experiences! \nWendy Claire Barrie is Canon for intergenerational Ministries at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle\, Washington. SUMMARY:Sewanee School of Theology Lunch and Learn Series
DESCRIPTION:Throughout the academic year\, the Sewanee School of Theology hosts a series of lunch and learn webinars led by faculty. The sessions are held at noon Central Time (1 p.m. EST) and are free and open to all. \n\nRepairers of the Breach–Restorative Justice in a South African Context\nThe Rev. Richard Cogill\, director of Contextual Education\n\n\n\nIn the United States and around the world\, there have long been calls to reform criminal justice systems in ways which victims\, perpetrators\, and society at large are restored. Father Cogill will discuss the success and failures which South Africa experienced as it tried to find a balance between\, truth\, justice\, and reconciliation as it attempted to heal from the deep trauma of Apartheid. Focusing on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission\, Father Cogill will explore how Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s understanding of forgiveness impacted the direction of the Truth and Reconciliation process in its desire for a restorative rather than retributive justice. \nRegister
