Narnia and Harry Potter

The Harry Potter and Narnia weekends were middle school retreats aimed at applying the themes to popular fantasy novels and movies to the Christian experience.

The Harry Potter events in 2002-2005 were a series of events for youths in grades 6-8 that tackled real-world issues and related them to the popular series of books of the same name by J.K. Rowling. The series was used as a jumping off point for discussions about themes such as good versus evil, persecution, and living a moral life. Harry Potter themed activities, skits, and games, as well as talks and discussions make this a weekend worth going to.

The Narnia Weekend is a weekend in which the themes of the theologian C.S. Lewis' famous fantasy novels are used as a launch pad for discussion about timeless themes that we encounter in our day to day lives.
