The 2008 Ninth Annual Lulu Awards
Episcopal Diocese of Maine

The LULU Awards honor congregational newsletters and congregational web sites that best exemplify excellence in communication and community-building.

The LULU Awards are named in honor of Mary Lou Lavallee, interim Northeast editor and communications officer from 1996-98. Mary Lou, who retired to Maine in 1995 after serving for many years in the Diocese of Western Massachusetts, courageously and cheerfully bounded into the new territory of desk-top publishing and web site design and management during her nearly three-year stint with the Diocese of Maine.
