International Development Committee

The ministry of the International Development Committee is to focus on education and other activities concerning the broad subject of Global Reconciliation and the Gospel.

They will act in concert with other Diocesan Commissions and Committees regarding issues of Global Reconciliation and the Millennium Development Goals; whose charge will include

1) working cooperatively with the Haiti-Maine Companion Diocese Committee, Episcopal Relief and Development, and other appropriate bodies to further education and opportunities for outreach;

2) making informed recommendations to the Bishop and Diocesan Council about the disbursement of the 0.7% funds;

3) working with the Diocesan Resource Center to build an accessible database to facilitate connections among all ministries in the diocese engaged in world mission and international development.
