Loring House Prayer
0 Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for this work you have given us to do for the people of the Diocese of Maine and thank you for this gracious home in which to do it.
Grant us the ears to listen to one another; to hear and to understand.
Grant us the eyes to see when others need our support and
the courage to ask when we need theirs.
Grant us the hands to share responsibilities with our companions
in this ministry and to cheer for one another's successes.
Give us open hearts to welcome our brothers and sisters into
this house of open doors and transparent walls;
Give us willing hearts to offer our talents and gifts in support
of the ministries of people and congregations of the Diocese;
Give us joyful hearts to laugh when things get funny.
Guide us, 0 God, as we travel with you in this life and work. As we walk in the light of your presence, help us to have grateful hearts for your many gifts of grace: those small, those mighty, those clear and those we just briefly glimpse.
