Series IV. Parishes, Aided Parishes, Summer Chapels, and Clusters
N.B. These records are all arranged alphabetically by the name of the town or city in which the church is located. Included are records for parishes which no longer exist.
A. Archival records of parishes, aided parishes, missions and clusters. These include Parish Registers (baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials), Service Registers, financial records, Vestry Minutes, and whatever else in the form of official records that comes to the Archives. Arranged on shelves alphabetically by name of town or city. Within each parish's grouping there is no systematic arrangement at the present time. Look on the shelf-if we have it, it's there. Otherwise we don't have it.
B. Parish Files. Miscellaneous materials for each parish, extant or not. A few parishes have extra folders for particular projects unique to that parish. Material for each congregation is broken down into 23 categories arranged alphabetically by folder title. No attempt has been made to put the contents of each folder in any kind of order. Search thoroughly! An explanation of each folder title follows.
